We now reach the eighth step on the Eightfold Marketing Path: Right Concentration. This is about learning to focus and learning to focus on the right thing. By now you know what is right and good and what you should be focusing on. Right concentration will help you focus on your marketing in such a way as to see what is effective and what is not. Make a plan and a series of steps to follow and focus on each one as you come to it. Plan ahead, but keep your focus on the task at hand. Learn to see all aspects of what you are concentrating on and how it fits into your overall plan. Sustain and intensify your concentration until you have successfully accomplished your task.
The next post will be a wrap-up and brief discussion of the whole Eightfold Marketing Path.

Hi Chris,
I am fairly good at concentrating what I am doing .. much of the time. I get involved in almost anything I do … I love digging into many things …
But I am not sure I am doing a very good job right now on concentrating on the right thing. Part of it is that I have developed a strategy … online marketing … and to some degree I need to give it time to work.
Problem is … it takes so so much time (both to work and also to know results!). Reloading the images in my CafePress shop to get my signatures on is a royal drag … in refining how I am doing this, I have loaded and reloaded to do things veryt well and give a great product!! Good to do I think …
I feel in some ways that I am waiting to Jan to decide what is effective. sigh … but it is also important for me not to just jump ship before things work.
Thank you for sharing this great post!!

I am the classic ADHD child and it is so hard for me to focus on anything. Even in college, my study periods lasted no longer than 15 minutes, then I had to do something else for a bit and then get back to studying.
As I get older, I find it easier to focus for longer periods of time, but I still struggle with it.
