Right mindfulness is one of my favorites because I try to practice mindfulness every day, throughout the day. Mindfulness is about being aware of what you are doing and how you are feeling at this very moment. Mindfulness is about seeing things as they really are. It’s one of those things that affects every aspect of your life and the more you practice, the more it builds.
People often tell me that I am a very laid back person, that nothing much fazes me. It still seems strange to hear that because I used to be very uptight and volatile. I know the changes have come about because of my mindfulness practice. If you’re into meditation at all, you know that it is merely a practice in being mindful. It’s not about escaping your current reality, it’s about being even more present.
Try practicing mindfulness throughout the day and see what a difference it makes in every area of your life.

Thank you for this post!! First off, it didn’t show up in my reader … just to let you know.
Mindfulness is core to my life and being. I am far from perfect at it … but it is one of the most important things every day for me.
I have a current mantra … “I have the intent and will to come from a higher place.” It is being very helpful. It comes from Orin and Da Ben (I can’t remember the channels name) … it is so helpful to me! Some days I need to use it lots and others not as much.
When I feel myself start to get off track, I strive to notice and return! Of course, right now in the holiday season with the marketing, it is being much harder to do about work. I look forward to reassessing things in Jan … but I am working too hard trying to do as much as I can this season.
I know, I know … I am trying to keep centered with this too … but there is so much I want to do .. and I am still pretty tired. This may be my biggest weakness.

Everything seems to cycle in my life and mindfulness is one of those. There are periods where I am very peaceful and it is easy to be mindful and there are other periods where everything seems to be frenzied and mindfulness goes right out the door. Over time, however, I’ve noticed that even my frenzied periods are much calmer than they used to be.
